The 0.8.2 section described a maintenance-only release, but 0.8.2 ships the writer-side vortex.stats zone-map feature: per-chunk MIN/MAX (primitive incl. F16, extension, Utf8, dict), NULL_COUNT (all types), and SUM (numeric primitives), plus RowFilter IS NULL / IS NOT NULL pruning and columnStats null_count aggregation.
